“十一”假期中,我又把《画蛇添足的故事》翻了出来,重新阅读了一遍。照样看得津津有味,真是百看不厌,每看一遍都有体会,都重新接受一次教育,都有新的收获。

故事讲的是很久以前,楚国有一群人在祭祀典礼完毕后分得一壶酒。酒是美酒,人人都想喝个痛快,但却只有一小壶,分开来喝,每人只能喝到一点点,哪能喝出味道呢?如果给一个人喝,当然过瘾,但给谁喝,别人都会有意见。争论了半天,有人想出了一个办法:大家同时在地上各画一条蛇,谁先画完,谁就喝酒。大家觉得这个方法很有趣,也是公平竞争,就都同意了,于是比赛就开始了。

一个人很快把蛇画完了,他沾沾自喜地拿过酒壶,准备喝个痛快。他为了显示自己的能干,于是,他放下酒壶,给蛇添了四只脚。恰在这时,另一个人也画完了蛇。那个人把酒壶抢了过去说:“蛇是没有脚的,有脚的不是蛇。你画得不是蛇,我才是第一个画完的,这壶酒该我喝。”
